Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday strongly attacked the Congress at a rally in Puducherry. Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi’s statement regarding a separate ministry for fishermen in Delhi, he said that Congress leaders have won gold, silver and bronze medals in lying. He said that the truth is that the present NDA government has formed a ministry for fishermen in the year 2019 itself.
Prime Minister Modi said – in just 2 years, the budget for fishermen has been increased by about 80 percent. Similarly, in the previous NDA government Atal ji had formed a ministry for tribal communities.
What did Rahul say?
In fact, Rahul Gandhi while addressing the fishermen in Kollam district of Kerala on Wednesday, described them as farmers of the sea. Rahul had said- “Just like the farmers who cultivate the land, you do farming in the sea. There is a ministry in Delhi for the farmers, where their interests are protected. A ministry in Delhi for the farmers And not for you… The first thing I have to do is to have a ministry for the fishermen of India so that they can see your issues. “
Giriraj raged on Rahul’s statement
Furious over Rahul Gandhi’s statement, Union Minister of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Giriraj Singh tweeted, “In the Parliament itself, ask questions from the Ministry of Fisheries? When the answer is not found, the delusional opium is circulating in the country. “Is this a brainstorming mind or a conspiracy? It is for people to think.”
Even before this, when Rahul Gandhi was on a tour of Kerala on 17 February, he gave a similar statement. After this, on behalf of BJP leaders and Union ministers, Rahul Gandhi’s statement was overturned and targeted at him. At that time, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju had said that Rahul Gandhi is demanding a separate fisheries ministry, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already made in the year 2019.
