New Delhi: Punjabi actor Deep Sidhu, accused in the Red Fort violence case, has been arrested by the Crime Branch of Delhi Police. Today, the Tis Hazari court of Delhi gave him conditional bail.
Let us tell you that Deep Sidhu was arrested on 9 February. He has many charges including inciting the protesters. The Delhi court today granted him bail on a personal bond of Rs 30,000. Under the conditions imposed by the court with bail, Sidhu will have to appear at the police station, submit his passport, not change the phone number and will not tamper with the evidence of violence. However, Sidhu has been arrested again a few hours after the bail.
Let me tell you that during the tractor parade of farmers in the national capital on Republic Day, there was a clash between farmers and policemen. Meanwhile, some protesters reached the Red Fort with tractors. Some of them went inside and put a religious flag on the ramparts of the Red Fort. Around 500 policemen were injured and one demonstrator was killed in the violence during this period.
In the last hearing held on 8 April, Deep Sidhu had declared himself innocent and requested for bail in this case. Sidhu had said that he was being implicated in the case in a fake way. At the same time, the prosecution objected to the bail, and described it as the main accused.
