In view of increasing corona infection cases, now all educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir have been closed till May 31. Under the new restrictions, all schools, colleges, universities, technical or skill development institutes in the state will remain closed. The order in this regard was issued by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha, Chief Secretary BVR Subramaniam, who is also the chairman of the state executive committee.
According to the order, “All schools, colleges, universities, technical or skill development institutes will be closed in Jammu and Kashmir till May 31”.

Explain that Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha discussed the closure of educational institutions in the state in a meeting called to review the status of Kovid-19 in the state. Covid test positive of various school teachers and students came after which the government decided to close the educational institutions.
Educational institutions were first closed by 15 May 2021
Earlier, under Section 24 of the Disaster Management Act 2005, an order was issued by the State Executive Committee to shut down all the schools and colleges till May 15, 2021, exercising their powers. But in view of the uncontrollable pace of Corona infection, now this order has been changed till May 31, all educational institutions in Jammu and Kashmir have been closed.
JKBOSE canceled the 10th and 12th exams
Earlier, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) had canceled the Class 10 board examination and postponed the Class 12 board examinations. On the other hand, colleges were earlier allowed to take online classes.
