New Delhi: Hearing will continue in the Delhi High Court on different issues like increasing cases of corona in the national capital, shortage of hospital beds, lack of oxygen and lack of medicines. Today is the 15th day of the ongoing hearing in the Delhi High Court. During the hearing to be held today, the Central Government will have to give its reply on the show cause notice issued by the High Court on Tuesday.
While issuing the show cause notice, the Delhi High Court had asked the Central Government why action should be taken against the Central Government on contempt of court for not giving oxygen to Delhi as per its demand. Apart from this, the Central Government will also have to tell today that what is the stand of the Central Government on the help that the Delhi Government has asked for setting up a hospital and other facilities with the help of the Army in Delhi.
“You can hide your face in the ground like an ostrich, don’t we”
Earlier on Tuesday, during the hearing, the Delhi High Court had also reprimanded the Central Government on the issue of not giving oxygen to Delhi as per its demand and also made comments. The court had even said during this time that the central government can now hide its face under the ground like an ostrich, but not the court. Because the lack of oxygen is killing people and the central government is stuck in small matters. Amidst all this, the amount of oxygen that Delhi needs is not available to date.
In the order, which is after nearly 4 hours of hearing in the Delhi High Court, in a strong rebuke to the Central Government, we said that we have received information that despite the Supreme Court’s order, so far, the Central Government has not given 700 metric tons of oxygen to Delhi as per its demand. Providing. Not only this, the central government could not provide oxygen to Delhi even for one day, according to its earlier quota of 490 metric tons.
The central government says that the Supreme Court did not say to deliver 700MT oxygen anywhere. On this, the High Court said that we do not agree with that plea of the Center because the Supreme Court had said that oxygen should be provided to it as per the requirement of the Delhi government. Not only this, but the Supreme Court has also mentioned the future requirement of the Delhi government in its order of 976 MT.
